In deciding to hold the retreat, we recognize --- and have considered -- the various concerns of many people.  In this letter, I would like to tell you about some of the CHANGES that have been made in order to address those concerns.

This year, all of our speakers will be pastors from within the District, that is, they are all local pastors!

Why? Because some people are worried about spreading COVID -- or anything else -- by transporting people from other areas of the country.

We have plenty of rooms available.  So,except for family members, we will try to place people so that the social distancing of 6 feet is maintained.  This also means that you will have more privac

Traditionally, we have had buffet-style service, which means that potentially everyone can have there hands in the food!  This year, we will NOT have buffet-style service.  The exact details are being worked out, and details will be posted on our website.

If you have concerns that I have not addressed -- or suggestions for addressing concerns -- then please feel free to write us at the address.

Of course, some things cannot change.

All of our speakers are Bible-based and Christ-centered.  We never compromise on doctrine.  Even though the camp has a casual atmosphere, we are NOT casual as to doctrine!

In fact, one of the unique features of the WELS retreat is that we "take over" the camp; in other words, during the retreat, the entire camp is dedicated to the WELS retreat.

Let me say that, again:  the entire camp is dedicated to the WELS retreat.

This means that there will NOT be competing activities at the retreat.  In other words, it is like being at Church for the weekend!!

We have enhanced our child care facilities.  So, while you are in class or at worship, you can know that your child is in good hands.  Then, when you pick up your child, you can partake of activities as a family

So, this retreat is a FAMILY EVENT to which  you can even bring the kids, and know that they are in good Christian hands.
